Use **Prioritize Orders** during rush periods to move an urgent order to the first ticket position and keep it visible for cooks.

## Before you begin
- Confirm the KDS screen receives the right prep-station orders
- Watch ticket age, elapsed time, delayed badges, and old-order colors
- Know that older orders can be highlighted yellow, orange, then red
- Do not assume KDS has station-load metrics, timers, filters, bump actions, or a delayed-order view for this workflow

## Steps
1. Watch the live KDS ticket list during rush.
2. Identify tickets with age, elapsed-time, delayed-badge, or old-order color signals.
3. Select the order that needs attention.
4. Use **Prioritize Orders** to move it to the first ticket position.
5. Confirm the prioritized order is visible and easy for cooks to find.
6. Continue working from the live ticket list instead of verbal-only shortcuts.
7. Re-prioritize only when another ticket becomes more urgent.

## Troubleshooting
- **Cooks cannot find an urgent order:** Use Prioritize Orders and confirm it moved to the first ticket position.
- **The team expects station-load metrics or filters:** Those are not part of the validated rush workflow.
- **A delayed ticket is missed:** Check ticket age, elapsed time, delayed badges, and old-order colors.
- **Rush coordination becomes verbal-only:** Bring the team back to the KDS ticket list and priority position.
