## Summary
Redeem a loyalty reward in checkout when a linked customer profile is eligible and an automatic coupon or discount reward is available.

## Before you begin
- Link the correct customer profile to checkout
- Confirm the customer is eligible at that moment
- Confirm the device is online
- Understand that staff can select the loyalty program type, not manually choose between multiple reward options

## Steps
1. Open checkout with the customer profile linked.
2. Review the customer’s visible loyalty status.
3. Confirm that an automatic reward based on visits, spend, or configured rules is available.
4. Select the loyalty program type if the flow requires it.
5. Apply the coupon or discount reward to checkout.
6. Review the updated order summary before payment or finalization.
7. If needed, remove the reward before payment or finalization.

## Troubleshooting
- **No coupons are available:** The linked customer does not currently have an eligible reward.
- **The reward is no longer valid:** The discount is removed from checkout.
- **A reward needs to be removed:** Remove it before payment or finalization.
- **The team needs visibility after redemption:** Check the order summary, customer history, or loyalty history.
- **The order also has discounts, coupons, gift cards, split payments, tips, or invoices:** Review the final order carefully before completing checkout.
