## Summary
Use Live Sales to review current restaurant activity in real time from Manager reports or from the sellpoint context in Restaurant App.

## Before you begin
- Confirm you are in the correct sellpoint, location, device, employee, time range, or service period context
- Make sure the devices that should report activity are online and synced
- Use Live Sales for current operational visibility, not for exporting reports
- If a device worked offline, wait for sync before treating the live numbers as complete

## Steps
1. In Manager, go to Reports > Live Sales.
2. If you work from Restaurant App, open the live sales view for the relevant sellpoint.
3. Select the sellpoint, location, device, employee, time range, or service period you need to review.
4. Review the real-time metrics: Gross Sales, Net Sales, Discounts, Tips, Tax, Order Count, Average Ticket, and Payment Methods.
5. Check additional totals where they apply, including ExtraCharge, Total, VAT gross, and VAT net.
6. Use the view to compare open and closed order activity during service.
7. If the values look incomplete, confirm device sync before making decisions from the report.

## Troubleshooting
- **Live sales look lower than expected:** Confirm the selected sellpoint, location, device, employee, and time range.
- **A device was offline:** Live Sales uses synced data. Offline activity appears only after the device comes back online and syncs.
- **The screen shows `-` or `N/A`:** There may be no data for the selected context yet.
- **You need an export:** Live Sales cannot be exported from this screen. Use historical reports where export is available.
