Summary
Use Courses View to see courses that come from POS order setup, menu items, or modifiers, organized by table ticket, course name, and course time.
Before you begin
- Confirm the order uses courses from POS, menu items, or modifiers
- Open a KDS screen that receives the assigned order
- Remember that orders without courses stay in order view, not courses view
- Know that course state does not change item visibility on prep stations
Steps
- Open Courses View in Selio KDS.
- Select the table ticket you want to review.
- Read the course name and course time.
- Use HOLD, FIRED, or DONE on an individual course when that course should change state.
- Confirm the course state update is visible.
- Check prep-station visibility separately, because course state does not decide whether items are visible on stations.
- Use order view for orders that do not contain courses.
Troubleshooting
- Courses do not appear: Confirm the source order actually contains courses from POS, menu items, or modifiers.
- An order without courses is missing from Courses View: Use order view; orders without courses do not appear in Courses View.
- Changing a course does not change station visibility: Review prep-station routing separately.
- Staff update the wrong course: Use table ticket, course name, and course time to identify the correct course first.
